During August, Capsule Comms and AKT London hosted an exclusive cinema screening evening at Curzon Soho ahead of the launch of Theatre Camp – a new American comedy film focusing on a group of eccentric staff members of an upstate New York theatre camp who must band together when their beloved founder falls into a coma. Theatre is something AKT’s founders, Andy Coxon and Ed Currie, know all too well about being performers themselves and the original inspiration for the award-winning deodorant balm range.

Guests in attendance – who consisted of press, influencers and performers from London’s West End – were treated to a drinks reception with a pick-n-mix station and professionally photography shots ahead of going down to the AKT screening room where they were given branded apparel, popcorn and gift bags on each seat. Andy and Ed then premiered the brand’s newest promotional video highlighting the story of AKT before the film began.

The event was a huge success with the opportunity for media and influencers to engage with AKT’s founders face-to-face, as well as offer the community of theatre performers who inspired the brand a chance to see how far the brand has come along since launching back in early 2020.

THE RESULTS: x70 guests secured, x106 pieces of social traction captured and a total social reach of 1.8 million.
